It's great to have a variety of options when it comes to representing our brand. To keep a consistent tone of voice, it's important to look at how our brand presents itself at all levels of our communication.

Lower brand volume

A basic application that separates the wordmark from the symbol and aligns the content relative to the left edge. This use of content and brand elements allows it to be used both in situations where the brand's colours are used to fill the background and in combination with photography.

To determine the margin for the text content, as a rule of thumb we suggest using a space of two O's. Seldom compositions may require different margins, but this rule may be used as a reference point.

Medium brand volume

At this level of brand volume, the elements of the symbol begin to play an important role in brand communication, which, due to their ability to adapt to different sizes and framing, can be used in various compositions in combination with text content. The use of text elements is dominated by left-aligned alignment.

Medium brand volume with a twist

The principles of use remain similar to the average volume level, but the compositions become more active and playful thanks to the dynamic angles of the smile elements. Compared to static smiles, this approach is used less frequently and as a tool to vivify a system rather than build its core.

High brand volume – Special cases

In general communication, this level of brand volume is used in unique circumstances when there is a need to deviate from the already known means of expression. It is a place for thoughtful creativity. We can connect smiles in colourful series or patterns from a symbol, etc., but in doing so it is important to keep the principles of layout already familiar.
