New board member and Chief Operating Officer of Omniva is Kastytis Valantinas

Omniva is becoming more Baltic by appointing new management board members from Latvia and Lithuania. As of September 5th, Kastytis Valantinas from Lithuania starts working as the member of the management board and Chief Operating Officer of Omniva. He also takes on the role of board member of Lithuanian subsidiary, UAB Omniva, becoming also the spokesperson of Omniva on Lithuanian market.

“Kastytis has extensive and valuable background from different industries and operations management of large organisations. I am very pleased to have such a strong leader on board. We highly value diversity of different nationalities and experiences in our leadership as Omniva is changing its operational model to pan-Baltic,” said Mart Mägi, CEO of Omniva. „Becoming regional enhances our competitiveness, efficiency, and innovations and therefore helps us to move towards our vision of being preferred and sustainable logistics services provider in the region,“ he added.

Kastytis Valantinas has over 20 years of experience in business management, sales, operations, IT, and process management, primarily in international companies within transportation, logistics, and service industries. Since 2019, he has been working as the Operations Director at Lithuanian Post, and since 2022, also as the Head of Sales. Before that, he has worked in managerial positions in DPD Lithuania, Trucking Experts and Bizpak.

"I am joining a strong, ambitious team and I hope that I will be useful in this moment of transformation of the organization with the experience I have accumulated so far – knowledge of the Baltic markets, feeling of customer needs, successful development of transport and logistics brands. A number of challenges await us – competition is growing rapidly, and customer expectations for the quality of services are also growing, so it will be important to form a unified team of professionals on the scale of all three Baltic countries and refine an effective operational management model in order to secure a leading position in the region and sustainable growth in local markets," commented Kastytis Valantinas.

The current general manager of Omniva Lithuania, Vaidrius Verikas will remain in Omniva supporting the transition at least until the end of September.

Omniva (AS Eesti Post) is a company owned by the Estonian state, the main activity of which is the provision of logistics services (parcel and postal services), digital services, and international transit services.
